Pet-Trax is a smart pet identification and recovery system that uses QR code tags to help reunite lost pets with their owners quickly.

Here's how it works:

• Create a profile for your pet with their photo, medical needs, and your contact information
• Order a custom QR tag for your pet's collar
• If your pet gets lost, anyone who finds them can scan the QR code with their phone
• The finder is instantly shown your pet's information and can contact you directly

Pet-Trax and microchips serve complementary purposes:

• Microchips require a special scanner (usually only at vets/shelters) and can take time to identify a pet
• Pet-Trax QR tags can be scanned instantly by anyone with a smartphone, providing immediate contact with you

We recommend using both! Microchips are great as a permanent backup, while Pet-Trax provides instant identification and contact capabilities.

• Step 2: Add your pet's profile with their photo and information
• Step 3: Order a custom QR tag from our store
• Step 4: Attach the tag to your pet's collar

Our QR tags are made from durable, lightweight aluminum with a protective epoxy coating. They're designed to withstand:

• Water and moisture (waterproof)
• Scratches and everyday wear
• UV exposure (won't fade)
• Temperature extremes

Each tag weighs less than 0.5 oz and is comfortable for pets of all sizes.

Standard shipping typically takes 5-7 business days. We also offer expedited shipping options at checkout for faster delivery.

Each tag is custom-printed with your pet's unique QR code, so please allow 1-2 business days for production before shipping.

Yes! The QR code links to your pet's digital profile, not to static information printed on the tag. You can update your pet's photo, medical information, and your contact details anytime by logging into your account.

Changes take effect immediately - no need to order a new tag.

If your tag is damaged or lost, you can order a replacement from your account dashboard. The replacement will use the same QR code linked to your existing pet profile, so all your information carries over.

When you report your pet as lost through Pet-Trax, we:

• Send email and SMS notifications to Pet-Trax users in your area
• Update your pet's profile to show they're missing
• Enable location sharing so finders can share where they spotted your pet
• Generate a shareable lost pet poster you can print or post on social media

Premium users get expanded alert radius and priority notifications.

When someone scans your lost pet's QR tag, they'll see a special "Found Pet" page that:

• Shows your pet's photo and name prominently
• Displays that the pet is reported lost and their owner is looking for them
• Provides easy ways to contact you (call, text, or message through the app)
• Allows them to share their location to help you find your pet faster

You'll also receive an instant notification that someone scanned your pet's tag!

Yes! Premium users can view a scan history that shows the approximate location and time of each scan. This can help you track your pet's movements if they're lost.

For privacy, we only capture location data when the finder chooses to share it or when the scan occurs through our website.

Pet-Trax offers both free and premium plans:

• Free Plan: 1 pet profile, basic QR tag functionality, email notifications
• Premium Plan ($3/month or $24/year): Unlimited pets, lost pet alerts, SMS notifications, scan history, location sharing, and priority support

You can start with the free plan and upgrade anytime. QR tags are purchased separately.

You can cancel your Premium subscription anytime from your Account Settings page. Your premium features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

After cancellation, you'll be downgraded to the free plan. Your pet profiles and QR tags will continue to work - you just won't have access to premium features like lost pet alerts and SMS notifications.

Free accounts can add 1 pet. Premium subscribers can add unlimited pets to their account, each with their own profile and QR tag.

Each pet needs their own QR tag, which can be ordered from our store.

You have full control over what's displayed. By default, finders can see:

• Your pet's name and photo
• Basic pet information (species, breed, color)
• Any medical needs or special instructions you've added
• A way to send you a message (without revealing your email/phone directly)

You can optionally enable direct phone contact, which shows your phone number to finders.

Yes! We take security seriously:

• All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest
• We never sell your personal information
• Passwords are securely hashed
• Payment processing is handled by Stripe (PCI compliant)

Yes, you can delete your account from the Account Settings page. When you delete your account:

• All your personal information is permanently deleted
• Your pet profiles are removed
• Your QR tags will no longer display pet information (they'll show a generic "pet not found" page)

This action cannot be undone, so please make sure you want to proceed before deleting.
